“My previous experience with guitar lesson’s were not very productive. I had one teacher for a few months in my late teens and he talked allot of nonsense to kill the time! (or so it felt!).

Now guitar lesson’s are informative but relaxed. I am always learning something new.Whatever I ask Joe fully explains and helps me with (including theory). Now I can play many scales using the correct fingering. I have also mastered barre chords and attained my grade three in electric guitar.

My improvisation has dramatically improved as well as my technique. Now I am learning much more about my instrument. I am also able to take grades. I always have fun in lessons and a laugh! As a guitar teacher myself Joe gives me tips with teaching others and reassurance!

Joe definitely knows his stuff and can cater to anyone that wants to learn guitar or improve their playing.”

“I must be one of Joe’s oldest pupils, as I did not take up the guitar until the ripe old age of sixty six. Looking for a Tutor on the Internet I came across Joe and gave him a call.

Joe quickly introduced me to finger picking style playing and I have been having lessons for about two years now.I have no ambitions to play in a group at my age and this style of playing is perfect for somebody who likes the guitar as a solo instrument.

Joe is a very patient and friendly Tutor and is very understanding when my old fingers don’t stretch like younger persons.Whatever your age, Joe will accommodate you.

I am very happy with the progress I have made with Joe, but still have lessons with him as I enjoy the challenge he sets me every time and lessons are always a pleasure. Joe persuaded me to take the Grade 1 Exam which I was reluctant to do, but when I passed with a distinction I was delighted that I had done it!

I would recommend Joe as a Tutor who will quickly put you at ease whatever your age or ability”.
