"Joe helped me sharpen up my playing in preparation for the Grade Six exam. He focused on my weak points and helped me to improve in those areas.

I appreciated Joe's teaching style, which I would describe as friendly and encouraging, but also quite rigorous and to the point.

I felt much better prepared for the Grade Six exam after the lessons. I felt fairly confident going into the exam and even more confident coming out.

I would recommend anyone to take Skype lessons with Joe. Using Skype is virtually the same as a face-to-face lesson and very convenient if you can't spend much time travelling. "

“I've definitely improved on two of what I believe are essentials as a beginner- practicing scales and building on them week by week has helped me to learn the neck of my guitar by feel. I've also learned more about the theory behind what I'm playing which I personally find really helpful.

At first I was not keen on having a group lesson and had been looking for one to one lessons, but learning as a group gives me a good balance between practicing alone without having the pressure of somebody watching for the whole hour, but also allowed me to practice playing in time with other musicians. I really enjoyed this style of lesson.

I was a total beginner who always told people "I have a guitar" rather than "I can play guitar"- it's the latter now!

I would recommend KGS- great balance between lead, rhythm, solo and group play, and for me the theory was a big help too”.
